Lawn Chair Travel

My niece Chava and her adorable daughter in Yellowstone National Park

I tend to "staycation" in the summer.  But while I'm sitting in my lawn chair, I'm traveling virtually to Edinburgh, Rome, Bravaria, Yellowstone, Havana, Lake of the Ozarks, Grand Canyon, Quebec and NYC through the social media posts and photos of my friends and family. I also have plenty of friends and family joining me in the lawn chairs here while they are on their road trips!

I'm fortunate that several friends and family have agreed to be interviewed for GoSeeItPeople interviews. Look for upcoming interviews from friends and family who have traveled to Quebec City, and Germany, and an interview with young cousins who traveled up the East Coast from Florida to Montreal in a Tesla with a 9 month old baby!

Today, I'd love to share a couple of links with some interesting travel essays...

The first link is from my niece, Chava's blog. She is an adventurer at heart (it seems to run in the family!) and she and her husband recently traveled to Yellowstone National Park with two baby girls under two years old. As you can imagine not everything went smoothly, but I'm sure you'll agree with her conclusions that while traveling with young children is challenging, the rewards are huge! Find her blog about Yellowstone here http://www.adventuresofajewishmom.com/

Also, while I have been enjoying the slightly soggy summer weather here, one of my favorite travel non profits, Pack for Purpose, published my guest blog about my experience delivering school supplies collected by the members of the GFWC Marlborough Woman's Club for Familias Saludables in Roatan Honduras. That essay is here: https://www.packforapurpose.org/blog/2017/07/big-ship-small-boat-pfap-travelers-deliver-roatan/

If you'd like to see the upcoming GoSeeItPeople Interviews and do some lawn chair traveling yourself, or find a source for ideas about your next trip, be sure to follow us on twitter, like our FaceBook page, and follow our blog!   Be sure to pull up a lawn chair and enjoy them all with me!  Happy travels!
