Photo Walk Ely Catherdral

View of the City from the Cathedral

Jeff recently had an opportunity to shoot at the Ely Cathedral while visiting relatives in the area. The Cathedral in Ely, England, was founded in the first century by a Saxon princess, Etheldreda, who eventually became St Etheldreda. The Church had many additions and renovations throughout the centuries, and eventually became part of the Church of England. (source: Ely Cathedral)

The ceiling panels tell the story of Jesus's ancestory from Adam to Mary

The Cathedral has been restored and added to over the centuries with a mix of old and modern art.
