After a full day of touring Sydney, we had plans to attend a performance IN the Sydney Opera House.  We thought it was well worth buying tickets to a performance to see the inside of the building.  On one of the nights we were there, the Danish Youth Symphony was playing, so tickets were reasonably priced and accessible and we liked the irony of listening to a visiting group of Danish teens in an iconic building designed by Danish architect Jorn Utzon!

I had very good intentions, but I underestimated the effect of jet lag combined with classical music. I lasted till intermission before even the cartoon tooth picks in the eyes didn't work and we left despite the very talented Danish kids and the awesome architecture!

I look quite awake here, but it's all an act!  The interior of the Opera House is lovely too, and glows with light at night!
